What couldn’t be more therapeutic? We’re sure you’re like us relaxing from the daily grind snapping pics with digital cameras or smartphones of the local color creating color harmonies for future experiments.
We like Adobe’s color themer Kuler working at the desktop, and ColorLover’s ColorSchemer or Pantone’s myPantone for extracting palettes from images using our mobiles. Some conversions are spot on but all allow you to tweak for the exact hue. Once saved, you can share, email, post or download the finished harmony.
If you’re an Adobe CS Suite user, Kuler exports an Adobe Swatch Exchange palette and is very useful to be loaded into any of the CS Suite apps. And in Photoshop version CS4 and CS5, Kuler can be directly accessed in a floating pane.
We hope you’re having a great summer and we’re sharing some shots with color schemes from NYC art shows, Brooklyn strolls and of course Hampton beach getaways!
