As 2011 comes to a close, we were very happy to organize one our biggest Digital Design Therapy Meetups at Parsons the New School for Design with our talented members. A mix of motivated Parsons students with industry design professionals, Saturday’s session featured Adobe Illustrator CS5 newest drawing and painting features.

Brushes, a feature that was introduced in AI 10 gives a lot of artistry to drawing paths. In CS5, these vector tools have been transformed with the Bristle Brush and Variable Line Profiles and Tool. Now softness and painterly styles can be edited as easily as selecting paths. Check out our slides from the day and we’ll posting a step by step tutorial in the near future!
