How often on a color card or range did you see the color “nude” and it isn’t a match? Especially shopping for innerware or hosiery that offers a variety of “skin” toned hues can limit us to a swatch.
Brazilian Photographer, Angelica Dass is developing an intriguing photo portrait series cataloging skin tones. A work in progress, every subject’s color is matched to the Pantone Color System. The result is a fascinating study of gorgeous hues and expressions. The fresh colors painted from the subtle sherbet pinks to the creamy coffee and chocolate tones begin to suggest warmth and personality. A wonderful new way to view our global “color” and emphasize it as a part of the design.
You can read more about Dass’ project here and perhaps have your hue defined.
